Embracing Intercultural Pedagogy: A Learner-Sensitive Approach to Teaching
Lightning Session Stream 4: Equity, Inclusion and Differentiation practices
Time: 11:00 am – 11:25 am
Location: G19 & G04
This session will explore the multifaceted nature of teachers’ work, focusing on interpretive and relational aspects that shape classroom dynamics. By examining the complexities of teaching through an intercultural lens, I will argue for pedagogical practices that are more sensitive to learners’ diverse needs and experiences. Attendees will gain insights into fostering inclusive learning environments, enhancing teacher-student relationships, and adopting strategies that support culturally responsive teaching. This session is ideal for educators seeking to deepen their understanding of intercultural pedagogy and refine their approach to teaching in increasingly diverse classrooms.
