Inclusive Education Toolkit: Live Preview and Real-Time Enhancement Session

This 45-minute interactive workshop provides UNSW College academics with a hands-on preview of the Inclusive Education Toolkit. Participants will engage in a live demonstration of the toolkit’s features and witness real-time adaptations to teaching materials based on Universal Design for Learning principles. The session is designed to equip educators with practical strategies to enhance accessibility, foster inclusivity, and address diverse student needs effectively. Attendees will leave with actionable insights on how to integrate inclusive practices into their own teaching contexts, ensuring a supportive and equitable learning environment for all students.

Aaron Saint-James | Research Officer UNSW
Aaron Saint-James is a researcher and advocate in the field of neuro-inclusive education, with a focus on neurodiversity, accessibility, and educational equity. He works as a Research Officer and Accessibility Consultant. Aaron is also the co-founder of the Diversified Projecy, an initiative aimed at supporting neurodivergent students and staff.
He is particularly focused on addressing systemic barriers in tertiary education, with a commitment to improving outcomes for neurodivergent and marginalised individuals. His work includes developing evidence-based toolkits, conducting lived experience research, and advocating for policy changes to foster equitable opportunities in education.

Dr Terry Cumming | Professor of Special Education UNSW
Dr Terry Cumming is a Professor of Special Education and Deputy Head of School, Learning and Teaching in the UNSW School of Education. She is also Academic Lead Education at the UNSW Disability Innovation Institute, and a Scientia Education Academy Fellow. Her teaching and research focus on promoting the use of evidence-based practices to support the learning and behaviour of students with disabilities and the use of technology to create inclusive, accessible, and engaging learning environments
